Who looks inside, awakens." - Carl Jung I'm always intrigued by the 'magic' that happens during dream circles and last month's gathering certainly verified this experience for me. The women who attended inspired me, or as I like to say, "in-spirited me!" Sharing dreams takes courage and respect as we move into an intimate space with others, many of whom we might have just met. And it's so much fun when a new friend has had a similar experience! Sharing laughter is an amazing way to awaken our souls. What we experienced is what Carl Jung called "synchronicity" - being placed in a particular situation and meeting just the right person or hearing just what you needed to hear at just the right time. About.com defines it as follows: Synchronicity is a "happen chance" that occurs that is in perfect alignment with your thoughts or ideas. Often mistaken as coincidences, synchronicities are universal nods, confirming that you are on the right track. Synchronicities can also be road signs that help steer you on to the right track if you are feeling confused or lost in some way. Synchronicities happen every day. A young man I met at the grocery store thought as much as he recounted a story of "running into" the same cute girl everywhere he went for two days. He referred to it as fate. I prefer to think of it as choice, and we all receive choices in abundance! What you do with a particular choice is up to you. And let's face it, being accountable or forthright isn't always easy, but it is authentic and that's the best kind of living! Our dreams often give us a 'heads up' prior to an event and/or a validation immediately after an occurrence and this requires two things: attention and action! What are you going to do with the information you receive? What do you wish you would or could do? (....there is your million dollar answer!) Until next time, Sweet dreams!
